Google assistant not responding on Pixel 4XL?

Normally each night before I go to bed I tell my Google assistant on my phone to set an alarm. It's been working just fine up til a few days ago.

I'll say "ok Google" it hears me and displays what I'm asking it to do but it doesn't actually do it or respond. The words just go away from the screen.

Is anyone else having this issue?? I restarted my phone and update all apps and I'm running the most current security on my phone and still not working.

No I'm on 10 with the most current security release. It honestly just started happening the other day which is what is perplexing me.

You can reset the Google app and it will prompt to redo Google assistant see what happens, to do that long press Google app tap info and scroll to storage clear its data and cache and force stop it .
