Google Assistant replacement?

I depend on Google Assistant daily, among other things, for taking reminders, but it's frustrating how inconsistent it is in recognizing precisely what I say. It's frequently not even close and all too often repeatedly makes the same mistakes. It's like it has a mind of it's own.

Is there a replacement (aside from Bixby) that is voice activated?

It is a pain if you have many kinds of regional accents, for most of the systems. I shift to a very precise, clear speech to talk to Google, and have fewer issues with entries than if I speak Texas or Midwest. I used to give speeches or perform honor ceremonies in high school and the military. I call it a "radio" voice.

I use a posh English accent when speaking to my smart assistants. They recognise it better if I say "Hey Google" rather than "Ey oop mi Duck!"

Could there be something blocking the microphone? If you have a case on, try taking it off. Also make sure none of the microphones (both primary and secondary) are clogged by lint.
