Google Assistant routine problem

On my Xperia 5ii, I've added a series of routine items to my morning alarm. The problem is when they go off, I have no way of going to them to pause or rewind or forward the series of news report I ask for. In fact, I cant see the app that is running the routines at all! How do I switch to or load the app that is running the routines so I can control them while they happen?
