Question Google assistant "Sorry who do you want to message

I have a Teyes CC3 2k Head unit. It has google, google assistant etc installed.

When i click the Google Assistent button and ask to send a text message It says "Sorry who do you want to message" even though it shows the name i requested. If i press the name it brings up the keyboard to type a message .

I want to dictate the message as you can using my samsung phone etc.

If i connect it to Android Auto and do the same it works fine bringing up the box and asking what message i want to send.

Does the head unit have permissions set to access your contacts and messages?

ive given google all permissions through: Apps - google - permissions
