I still don't have Google assistant on my phone. It's still on android 6.0 marshmallow but I heard Google was rolling it out to all marshmallow & Nougat phones. Is there something I've got to do to activate it?

If your Google app is up to date, try holding the home button. The Assistant feature is not really an "app" more of a replacement for Google Now On Tap that used to open when you held the Home button. But...if you use the Moto app in your phone and have Moto Voice setup, it will not open Assistant it will still open Google Now.

Ok Moto voice was on so I turned it off & still no Google assistant. My Google services are up to date too. Are Google just really slow at rolling this out?

What happens when you long press the home button? Google Now On Tap or Assistant?

Is your Play Store app up-to-date? And is your Google app up-to-date? I believe the new Assistant functionality is part of the Google app and that app has to be on the newest app version.

I keep all my apps up to date. Went on google play & ive got no updates for any apps.
