Google Calendar Reminders Requiring Password over Fingerprint

I noticed several weeks ago that when my phone is locked and I get a reminder notification from Google Calendar, instead of the phone allowing me to use my fingerprint to unlock the phone, it now requires me to use my password.

Is there any way to change this in the security settings to accept the fingerprint again? I do not have this issue when receiving a notification for text messages or anything else that I can recall.

Any app that turns the screen on, that is not a preinstalled app, will trigger this. You can have Google Calendar syncing to the S Calendar if you still want reminders that turn on the screen.

Google Calendar doesn't turn the screen on. It just chirps at me, then I push the power or main button to turn the screen on to see why my phone chirped. The notification screen shows a Google Calendar reminder, I try to unlock the screen like I always do with my fingerprint, then it states that I need a password this time.

It never used to do that. What changed? Is there a setting to switch it back to how it was?

The only reasons I know why an app alerting would prevent you from opening via fingerprint is if it turns the screen on, or attempts to unlock the phone on alert. You could check for settings relating to either.
