Google Calendar Sync

I finally downloaded the Google Calendar Sync to use with my MS Outlook 2010. I have a couple questions for other people who have it.

1. Is there a way to NOT have all of my facebook friends b.days on my calendar?
2. I've tried set it up so that my Gmail account is my default account, but it's not holding the setting (the box is unchecked every time even though I keep checking it and trying to save it). Every time it syncs, it's asking me to Choose Profile (between my gmail acct and Outlook acct). Will I always have to select this manually? I have it set to sync every 10 minutes, and the popup comes up every time.

Another related question: Should I export my contacts from outlook 2010 and import them into my google contacts so that I have ALL of my contacts in my phone? Will that give me duplicate contacts?

Thanks and have a great night. :)

Which facebook app are you using? You may need to tell the app to not sync with your calendar. I had to do this on my BlackBerry but the Facebook for Android app doesn't sync the calendar.

Thanks BigJohn. Somewhere in the calendar settings I found a Facebook Unsubscribe option (I can't remember where I came across it). I unsubscribed, and now the FB contact b.days are off my calendar. :-)
