Google Camera App/Pixel 6 Pro - Not recognizing external USB Camera

Hello! I have a Pixel 6 Pro (from Verizon) and I am using the Google Camera App (latest version). I cannot get Google Camera to recognize any USB camera that I have plugged into the Pixel 6 Pro. It only ever recognizes the front/back camera. How do I get the Google Camera App to recognize and use an external USB camera? Any pointers or experiences appreciated. Thank you!

Have you tried turning on developer settings under USb debugging and should be other options

Yes, developer options is on and there is nothing in the USB settings that I can see that relates to this.

Toggle on usb debugging see if can recognize it
