I use Google clock app for my alarm (not the Samsung clock). Ever since the update last week on my Verizon S21+ my alarm has no been going off in the morning. I suspect this may have something to do with the new bedtime mode that Samsung added with the update. Or maybe it has to do with a Spotify update from 5 days ago. I am not sure. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello! Just to be sure, is your alarm set to go off on the specific days in question? Usually alarms will override Do Not Disturb, but make sure those settings are correct. Sometimes, an update will mess up your previously-adjusted settings.

Do you still have the Samsung Clock app installed? When I had my S10 and was setting it up, I hadn't realized that both the Google and Samsung Clock apps were set for the same time, and one wouldn't go off or it was finicky. Disable or delete the Samsung Clock app (if you can - or just turn everything off/delete the alarms) and see what happens.

Keep us posted!

Thank you for the response. All of my settings are correct. I just checked the reviews of Google Clock in the Google play store and apparently this is a wide spread issue. Lots of complaints by reviewers about the same issue that I have with alarms not going off.

Is Bedtime Mode turned on? If so, try turning it off.

Also, if Do Not Disturb is turned on, make sure Alarms is set as an exception. (EDIT: Sorry, from your reply to Morty2264, it sounds like that's already the case.)

Bedtime mode is not on. And do not disturb is not on. It is not just me....looking at the recent reviews of the clock app in the Google play store it is affecting a lot of people.

Is it only morning alarms that don't go off? What about the middle of the day?

I was testing it this afternoon. 2 missed and two went on. I thought it might be related to Spotify as I use a Spotify playlist for my alarm. The first two that missed were set to Spotify. The third one was set to ringtone and that worked. Then the fourth one was back to Spotify and that worked. In the past though when a Spotify alarm failed to go on for whatever reason it would always default to a ringtone so that an alarm was never missed. Not this time though.

If the safe mode doesn't work. then I suggest reaching out to Google since it's their app. As a back up you can also submit error report to Samsung Members after reproducing the issue.
Lastly, if you don't mind, please share the device's model number, SW ver., and the app's version too.

Oh hmm, I missed the fact that you're using Google's Clock app, which was presumably not preinstalled. That means you can't test it in Safe Mode.:-\

I edited the title to reflect that this was the Google clock alarm you're having trouble with.

Is there any reason that you prefer Google's clock over the Samsung clock? Spotify is available on that one as well. Just asking because it would be terrible if you missed an alarm and was late for something.

Hey, very similar issue after s21 update recently (late for 2 events due to missed morning alarms). My occurrences were with Samsung clock app but what seems to have happened was it changed my setting where if my phone is on silent or vibrate it only lets the alarm vibrate without any assigned alarm tone.

Fix: go to settings in clock app and toggle "vibrate for alarms and timers" to off. Now it will make sound and vibrate with alarm even though i keep my phone on vibrate.
Good luck, hope no one loses their job over sleeping through a silent or only vibrating alarm!
