Google currents

Anyone use google currents? If so how is it on the battery? I tried to disable the background sync but it seems as if it still syncs and hasnt made a difference. Or is it just me?

It seemed a little buggy to me at first when updating for the first few times, like maybe it was insisting on updating everything initially, but it now updates as I expect it to. That is, it only does so when I hit the update button. Give it a few updates and then see if it's acting the way you're wanting. My updates take maybe a minute now when on wifi, can't be negatively affecting the battery life too much.

I use Google Currents on my GN and I still was off charger for 16+ hours yesterday with LTE on all day.
