They didn't disable them. They disabled NEW ones. If you had it loaded, you can still use it. If you haven't, you have to wait for them to plug the hole first.

At least Google isn't ignoring the problem. Probably better to prevent new customers from adding to the number of possible problems while they solve this one.

At first they only disabled it for rooted users. Then they decided to not take a chance and disabled it for all users. This is only for the prepaid card. The Citi mastercard that google wallet is associated with is still good, I believe.

Was working fine couple days ago then bam no workie. I still have some money in the prepaid card, hope they fix it soon.
