Google Discover updated for the Fold3

It's nice to see that Samsung and Google are cooperating again. Yesterday's Google app update delivered a new Google Discover screen for the Fold - now with two columns

Seems the app itself doe switch to a Desktop-like mode, but the pages themselves still remain the mobile version Sadness.

Yeah , im fine with it like that , otherwise check desktop in settings and leave it like that .

I guess that's because the websites recognizing it as a mobile device and rendering the mobile optimized pages

That's the thing... it doesn't 'stick'. Close the tab or open a new one and BAM! Mobile versions. Boogle said they were going to do Desktop Mode automagically on tablets... and that was last year. Still waitin'

They can make the 'Desktop Mode' setting permanent. Samsung's Internet Browser does it for DeX and I believe tablets as well.
