With the Nexus 7 coming out, and the lack of additional physical storage lets talk about the cloud options. What is anyone's experience with Google Music or Drive? I am currently uploading music to my Google Music account. When I am within Wifi I know I can stream the music but if I need to travel can I download and album or two from my account and head out the door?

Also with Google Drive I have uploaded all my work files which include .PSD files from Photoshop. Even though the device itself doesn't support .PSD can I download them and send them in emails if the need arises?

Thanks in advance for any help

Also post your own questions about either service.

ps I signed up to pay $5 a month to get 100 gb of storage on Google Drive.

With Google Music yes, you can indeed pin certain albums for offline use. It would take a minute or two to download the album, but it works very well.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Android Central Forums

I haven't experimented much with Google Drive, but I use Google Music as my primary music app on my phone. I've been very pleased with it. I do "pin" the albums I'm most inclined to listen to, so that I know they are always available, even when I don't have a wifi or 4g/3g connection. Other than that, I'm pretty pleased with streaming as well.

haven't really used google music too much tho i do make sure that it always has my music. main music apps i use are audiogalaxy, amazon mp3 and then google music. tho i may be using more of google music. Trying to completely merge myself into the "google world"

Like the OP, I am basically moving my entertainment world to Google.

I am keeping my iPhone but get a non-Apple product for the first time in the Nexus 7. I uploading all my music to Google Music and know that i can read my Amazon books on an Android device.

I am hoping all my iTunes TV shows/movies can somehow be watched on the Nexus 7

How did you transfer your drm locked music from itunes over to google music? I have to use the program tuneclone to convert all my itunes music and it's a long tedious process that I have taken a break from.

Maybe I am wrong. I downloaded Google Music Manager and it uploaded all of my iTunes library to Google Music.

I assumed I could then listen to it from my Nexus 7

With Google Drive, you can:
- pin for offline use
- send a link to any file
- add collaborators
- send to Dropbox
- share over Wifi
--- and much more.

Google Drive is simply amazing. I also upgraded the base storage to 80GB for $20 a year - it's so cheap and so versatile.

I cant seem to figure out how to "UN-PIN" videos that I have on the device to keep move them to the cloud. Videos that were originated from the device itself, not initially uploaded to the cloud.

Is this a limitation as it currently stands with video?

Even if I had video in the cloud FIRST, Google drive seems to have no integration with the Gallery or Play Videos app. Only picassa and Google+. wth?

What am I missing here?

I'm in the same boat with moving everything to Google. I have finally switched completely to Google Music...and I'm loving it. It's nice knowing that my music is always their to listen to from any computer/any of my devices.
