Dear HTC Customers and Enthusiasts,

We are happy to inform you that HTC and AT&T have approved an update for the HTC One (M8) that resolves the issues with the Google Drive cloud storage offer.

You can now follow these instructions to redeem the offer of 50GB of free Google Drive storage:

The software update for the HTC One (M8) on AT&T will update to software version 1.58.502.1. This can be verified under Settings -> About -> Software information. After updating to this version, you should be able to open Google Drive and be presented with the option to redeem the offer.

If the offer does not appear, the temporary settings for the Google Drive app need to be cleared by following these steps:

Open Settings
Scroll down to Apps
Swipe left until the ALL tab is displayed
Scroll down to Drive
Press Clear data

You can redeem at anytime. You can visit Google Drive, the app, tap on 'menu' the tap on 'product tour'. There you'll be presented with a redeem option. I just did mine earlier.

Anyone know whether it's permanent storage or a limited time thing? I got annoyed the other day upon being informed by dropbox that all the storage I got via my EvoLTE HTC promo was going to expire in 60 days. Can't complain too much getting two years of free storage, but it never led me to believe it would be temporary.

Just to answer some of the question.

1. It is limited time for 3 years

2. For anyone who have the m8 and haven't got the free 50gb this is what you have to so.

Go to the Google drive, menu then product tour. After taking the tour it will ask you to redeem. press it and congrats you have the free 50gb which makes it a total storage of 65gb
