Google drive storage issue

Hi there,

I'm having an issue with my phone's storage, it shows I have very little free space. When I 'analyze storage' it indicates a very large amount of the storage is being taken up by 'other apps', basically a bunch of small system files and my google drive folder. None of the the files in google drive are set to 'available offline'.

Is there any way to stop the phone from including those files which have been copied to my google drive and which are not on the phone's internal storage anymore in it's calculation of my used storage?

Welcome to Android Central! If you use messaging apps, check their cache/data. Apps like Telegram and kik have been known to build up gigantic caches. Another culprit app I recall is ShareIT, but I don't think that comes preinstalled on Samsung phones.
