Google Drive Widget

My Google drive widget disappeared. I go to put it back and it's now a 5x2 widget vs 5x1 yet size hasn't changed. So it explains why it disappeared. Is this a mistake?

On my 3 XL, I have a 4x1 option, but no 5x1 or 5x2 option. Which version of Google Drive do you have installed?

Nope, stock. Literally just changed.

I have a pixel 4xl all spots are 5 wide

I just checked my pixel 4xl it has 5x2 1x1

Ah, as mustang7757 suggested, the issue for me was that I was looking at the widget using Nova Launcher, where it's still 4x1. I went back to Pixel Launcher and can see it's 5x2 there. You're right, it's odd that it has to take up that amount of space, and the disadvantage of Pixel Launcher is that you can't adjust the size. That's one of the reasons I really like Nova.

Yeah doesn't explain but seeing that same on mine also it was move Google wanted

Google works in mysterious ways (which is to say, who the heck knows?). Send them some feedback from within the Drive app's settings -- I just did.
