Google Equalizer on LG G4

Using the equalizer that accompanies Google Play Music creates havoc with my LG G4. Actually almost mutes all other sound, i.e. Tune in Radio, Beyond Pod, Audible app etc. Doesnt seem to be another equalizer that can integrate w/ Play Music or even find the music files. The Equalizer nicely enhances my music but ruins everything else. Can anyone assist? Regards
