Google gps no sound

I was using my google gps, which I love, on saturday when suddenly I missed a turn and realized my sound was no longer working.so I checked to if I mistakenly hit mute which I didn't,i then thought it was because my battery was dying. But today when I used it again with a full battery still no sound, what could be the problem?

Check the volume while you are running your GPS.

Do you have your phone paired with a bluetooth device?

Volume is all the way up and no I don't have bluetooth on, the sound just randomly stopped working during tge whole trip, but I used it again yesterday and the sound miraculously came back

the same thing happened to me today. set the address, followed directions for about 5 miles. when i knew there was a turn, i heard nothing.

Is there a universal solution to this? I've read about people resetting to factory to no avail. I assume it's a prob with the app since sound works on everything else.
