Google+ Hangout

Hey all, apologies for another thread. What are you opinions of Google Hangout? Worthwhile app for video chat for mobile-to-mobile?

Lastly, can you start a Hangout between an Android device and iPhone?

Hangouts are all cross-platform. Useful if your friends are on Google+ and you need a multiple-person video chat. 1-on-1, I'd say its not quite as good as a regular Skype or Google Talk video chat.
