Google Home bluetooth PIN

I am trying to connect my Google Home to my laptop, but it asks for a PIN on the laptop. I have tried 0000, 1234, not luck. I saw several responses elsewhere that Google Home doesn't have a PIN option. Has anyone been able to work around this?

Are you able to connect the Home to other devices (like your phone) via Bluetooth without difficulty?

Yes. Followed precisely. Can connect phone. But with PC the PC asks for a PIN

Is the laptop Windows 10? Do you have any other computers you can try it with?

And for what it's worth, someone who bears a "Gold Product Expert" title asserts that the Google Home can't connect as a Bluetooth device to any other device that requires a PIN: https://support.google.com/googlenest/thread/1568442?hl=en

does the laptop have a pin? maybe that is the one it is asking for. I have a google home and it never asked for one.

The laptop has a pin to open Windows 10. Tried that already. No luck. I will just give up. Thanks to all. Just thought it would be nice to have a speaker phone since I spend half my day on Zoom now ??????
