Google Home icon bug?

Ok guys, I'm having problem. I have a nexus 7 2013, with stock 4.4.2, no root, no Roms, ecc. I sideloaded Google home, the latest version, 0.10.1.something with latest Google now. I set everything up, and put the play store icon in the dock (far right). Every time I boot the system that icon disappears! It's really annoying having to put there every single time. Maybe I will end placing it somewhere in the desktop, even if I prefer it in the dock. Everyone else experiencing this?

Yes it happens to me too. Others have also mentioned the same bug.

Seems as if they're referencing the 'exclusive' Nexus 5 launcher as the OP mentioned Google now and sideloading. As far as I know I don't believe a broad release has been confirmed though everyone and their mother is inferring that it will be released eventually.
