Google home muting issue

[Android Central Question]

I have a routine for news.. hey Google, how's my day?
Plays NPR news, then Fox news. Yup untill recently, during the insidious Fox ads, I was able to say " mute" and then"continue" when the 60 second ad was over. No more. Google is now blocking me from muting, unless I catch it exactly when the ad kicks in.
Doesn't happen with NPR, ABC, or the BBC.
Shame on you Google. They've obviously convinced you by way of remuneration to force me to listen to their insidious ads.
Deleted Fox from my routine.
Anyone else experiencing this?

too much work to say mute, keep track of the seconds then say continue I would just let it play on
