Pixel Tablet ... is basically a replacement for the Nest Hub

Couldn't disagree more, especially if you are in a multi-user household.

Assistant on Pixel Tablet on Hub Mode fails to provide personal results from multiple users, and requires you to manually unlock the device (and often switch profiles) to do something as simple as check your calendar or take a note / add an item to a shared Keep list. These are tasks even the most simple Nest Mini can handle easily - why the Pixel Tablet in Hub Mode cannot perform at least at this level is beyond comprehension.

Maybe future updates will address these issues and bring Pixel Tablet in Hub Mode closer to a true, useful smart home device for multiple users, but for now it's just half-baked in this respect.
