So remember I ordered a Pixel 2 around thanksgiving that was lost so they did an RMA? Got back to town from travel for Christmas today and there was a box on my doorstep. Opened it up and it was a Pixel 2. Contacted Google and they told me that I could just keep it and it could be activated just fine! Wow!

Damn nice!

Google has had my trade in unit for 3 weeks and I still don't have my refund ...so I hate to knock down your comment, but I'm not feelin' it. 😂😂

Man, good for you! Merry Christmas!

I had a similar experience only with the free Google Mini.
FedEx lost it and Google expressed shipped me a replacement.

Companies like Google are actually pretty good at doing things like this if you put in a little time to make contact and be pleasant. Amazon for instance has made so many things right for me, and all it takes is usually a phone call.

As for services like trade-ins, I can see how that process is just...different, and does make it tough on the reps to make you happy when things like that are truly out of their control. More times then not, they will usually make it right in the end.

We should put this as a sticky and point people to this every time someone complains Google sucks. Haha.

I ordered a set of flatware from Amazon in the U.S. and it was lost in shipping. Amazon sent another. Both arrived. Amazon had me keep both sets. I sure like Amazon.

My apologies if I'm missing something. So you ordered a phone from Google that never arrived, and they sent you a replacement? Isn't that what should be expected?

The original didn't arrive on time so they sent a new device. Original finally showed up and google said to just keep the original as well.
