Google Keyboard Question

I just received my pixel c last week (loving it so far) and just got the google keyboard today. I have somewhat figured out how to attach it and I know it says it charges when the tablet is sleeping and attached. How do I actually 'know' the keyboard is really charging?

This keyboard is pretty cool btw. I like it...wasn't sure if I would or not.

Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a way to double check it. It only charges when you have the lightbar lined up with the spacebar, so try not to type for more than 100-200 hours straight without giving it a short break.

So does that mean EXACTLY lined up like the attached picture with the slight gap showing or does it just mean the led side face down towards the keyboard (second picture). Sorry, it is a little confusing. 20160705_152025.jpg 20160705_152315.jpg

That's one sharp looking tablet there. I hugged mine when I got it unboxed. :p

LOL. Yep I know...I love it so far. And the keyboard is pretty cool! I originally hesitated to spend that much on a keyboard but, I'm glad I did. I like the way it attaches and how it works with the pixel c.

It has to be closed to charge the keyboard and the wrist area should be at the top and the thick connecting magnet should be at the bottom. Top of course meaning where the camera is.

It will not have a gap if attached correctly, it really snaps together security.
