Google Live cases, what will you design.

Google has come out with live cases for the newer Nexus phones that you can design yourself. This is the first design I came up with, though I'll likely continue to play with it.

I'd be interested to see what others design for their 6P.

Wow! That's really cool. But $35. Seems kind of steep. It's cool they offer this though.

I'd love one of these cases, but I hate cases. Also, it would take me hours to decide on something I liked, and then I'd certainly have buyers remorse immediately after purchasing. I don't think $35 is terrible for something like this (maybe that's just me). Totally custom and totally awesome. And that extra NFC button doesn't hurt.

The $35 is partially for the customization but also because it comes with a Live Wallpaper that matches your case design. If you chose the maps, as I understand it, it shows your current location on the home screen using the filter and colors you used for your case design. If you get a photo live case, it uses pictures in an album, again using the filter you choose, as the wallpaper.

I received my case yesterday and am liking it. I posted more information, including a picture of the case, on the Nexus 6P cases thread, so I'll link to it rather than repost the same information.

I fully understand. I have a Spigen Hybrid clear case that I've loved, since it allows me to see how good the phone looks, yet I replaced it for my Live Case. It's nice having a unique case where the design has meaning to me.

I got my live case on Friday and it is beautiful. The case itself may not be the best, but I really like the way the photo came out and a personalized photo means a lot more to me than the "premium texture" my old Verus case has.

So I finally got my live case, but the live wallpaper feature doesn't seem to beworking for me. Is anyone able to get it working? I've selected my pictures, but it won't change or do anything when I tap and hold the button on the case in the back.

Did you install the My Live Case app? Install the app and open it, the app will tell you to press the "button" on the case. From what I can tell, pressing the button loads the information about your case in the app -- then within the app you can set and modify your new wallpaper, as well as set what you want the case "button" to do.

Just wondering if you got yours sooner than the estimated arrival date. I ordered mine on the 18th and it still says May 27-31st. That seems a bit long for a case...

Google estimated my case would be delivered between May 3 and 5, it was actually delivered on April 22. So hopefully you'll get yours a couple of weeks early.

I'm hoping this is the case with mine as well. I ordered one on April 25th. The email they sent me says it's not expected until June 6-8!!!

Received my livecase on May 16th... sooner than expected. Looks great... the shortcut button takes a little getting used to, but otherwise works ok.

The biggest issue I have with it is my particular livecase has seemingly been made with a material and finish that is incredibly slippery. It's really hard to keep a hold of and makes me almost want to take it off . Anyone else have this issue with theirs?

For the record, I have the Nexus 5x Photos livecase with matte finish.

These cases are awesome But too cost I would like put my child hood photo. I hope It's great if they make for moto also

Yea, you have a point there... I am coming from a cruzerlite TPU case that had a great, grippy finish..., so maybe that's why this one feels so slippery.
