Google maps dark mode

I know that in navigation mode for Google maps it's already dark mode, but is there any way to get the regular UI of Google maps into dark mode at all? In my developer settings come I already have force override on to force start mode on to regular non-dark mode applications. Thanks for any help. I really appreciate!

The regular UI of Google Maps still doesn't have a dark mode, only the map in Navigation mode.

Yeah, I see that. There's no way to force the regular UI of Google maps into dark mode though right?

No there's no way to "force dark" Maps or G Search Assistant in all its screens. Not even Developer Options—>Force Dark does the job so we wait on Google's Engineers to make changes...

Haha, yeah, I tried everything lol Believe me I know. I didn't think there was not even rooting would allow you to do this I don't think. Oh well...

Yep, yep! I've rooted my OnePlus 6T several times over... Nothing, not even resource file tweaks controls dark mode. Dark mode is an option the app programmers must provide...
