Trying to determine if this issue is related to the Froyo install. Unrooted, stock phone update installed around 1am, no problems at all.

First glitch I've noticed though is Google maps, (I downloaded the Maps update after the 2.2 update) is misbehaving. When I open Maps and try to have it determine my location I see the GPS icon in the not. bar, then for some reason my 3G usually conks out and after about 2 minutes, it tells me 'Unable to Determine Location' or 'Data Connection Interrupted' (when the 3G disappears). I have all the Location settings enabled (cell servers, GPS, enhanced GPS) and once I exit Google Maps my 3G comes right back.

Does anyone think this is Froyo-caused? Aside from difficulty locking onto a GPS signal at times (sometimes would take a good 3-4 mins) I've never had any issues with Google Maps before.

Not here, I just opened Gmaps and it went fine. Try unistall/reinstall.

Ok, so I've figured out it's something with JuiceDefender. I disabled JD and all of a sudden 3G and GPS work fine together in GMaps. Now I'm going to instruct JD to keep Maps data open at all times and see if this allows me to keep it running and use Maps as intended.

Didnt work...so it looks like for the time being I just need to disable JD whenever I want to use Maps&GPS together. Not a big deal because JD's benefit to me far outweighs this minor workaround. With the extended battery and Juice Defender (not even set near the maximium miser-level either) I can get 26-32 hours from a charge.

Ok, final update I figured it out and fixed the problem. All I had to do was go into Juice Defender and toggle the data for Google Maps to a permanently open status. (I have the paid version which allows me to toggle data rights for individual apps) Now everything works perfectly again. w00t!
