Google Maps Navigation Stuck Searching for GPS...

On my SGS2 Google navigation seems to work to locate my position , but while driving the indicator stays where it is.
Only when I stop the navigation ( not exit) and resume, the indicator will jump to my exact location again. By itself the indicator does not move, never.
Neither the application is hanging or anything, it just not detecting my movings.
Did a reinstall of my google maps already and other apps that use the GPS sensor seem to work OK.
So what else is there left for me to do?
Any help appreciated......

3/4/12 - Thank you #10!! This solution WORKED for me! :D Once I rebooted & tried to use Maps, it does then give a warning that you are using Maps in the Beta version, but at least it works! (I have Verizon, Droid3.)
This solved my 'searching gps' issue too

Thanks...``apps --maps--uninstall updates -- reboot`` method worked for me too

Thanks, #3 worked to show me that my GPS can get a lock just fine and i cleared the aGPS data.
However as soon as I went back to Google Maps it went right back to being GPS blind and couldn't get a lock or something. Garbage.
Also, I've noticed every time I attempt to use Google Maps Navigation, it puts my System volume to max and does not reset it to where I had it when I exit the app, which is annoying.

Here's what I did to troubleshooting Google Maps

1. Go to Settings -> Location, disable. Restart phone.
2. Open Maps; it will prompt you to turn on "Location", say yes.
3. Go to Settings -> Location, optimize settings (or in Maps -> Settings)
4. In Settings, go to Maps, clear cache, then clear aData

Not sure if all those options are necessary, but that's what I did to get it working.

---EDIT---
So the problem returned, and as a result, I went to Settings -> Maps, and uninstalled updates. Hoping this resolves it once, and for all.
