google maps update 4.5.1 force close

After updating my G1 to google maps version 4.5.1. With no luck, now constantly force closing. I remembered that the only thing new that I read on the changelog was the live weather wallpapers, which clearly would not run on 1.6. Is there any way to revert back to my older google maps version 4.5?

You should be able to go into the Market and uninstall any updates, bringing you back to the stock version, but when you try to update, it'll take you to the newest version again. Have you tried rebooting?

Might help if we knew what phone you have and OS version.

I am using the HTC Droid Incredible using Froyo 2.2 stock.

I upgraded and it works perfect.

i did state in my original post that i was using a g1 with version 1.6.
