google maps update version 4.3

I am unable to install the latest version of google maps (4.3) on my droid which is running the jrummy v1.0 froyo custom rom.

Does anybody have a workaround?

most likely you will need to wait until somebody is able to post the apk file to download manually. i haven't tried installing the new version but i know with the froyo roms on the droid, it will not install the previous version

check out droid-life.com They have step by step if you have root and busybox installed.

If I use root explorer to go into System/apps and pull the Maps.apk, can someone use that to install the new version? If so.... I've got it. <<.<<
