Google Maps Won't Update

When I restart my phone, which is quite often if I am using the music player lol, I see I have a update for Google Maps. However when I try to install the update, the 'Downloading' status bar doesn't load at all. It seems to be stuck. Any ideas?

Go to the Market and "My Apps". Try to download the update from there. If this doesn't work, do a battery pull ... battery out for at least one minute, back in, turn on. Usually fixes weirdnesses.

Try the trick of unmounting your SD card do the update then remount your sd card. Not sure why this would do it with google maps. I don't think it is one that can be moved to the SDcard anyway.

No need to pull the battery or even reboot...just clear data on your market by going to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market.

Next time you open the Market it will ask you to accept the Terms of Service again but you won't lose any applications or anything. It always fixes the problem when I have problems downloading any updates or new apps.
