Google moving pixel production out of China...price hike/delay pixel 4?

I heard that Google is moving their production of pixels/Google home/nest products etc out of China rather soon.... do you guys think this might delay and/or raise the price or affect the quality of the pixel 4?

There's always those possibilities when production is moved. But this was done primarily to avoid tariffs. Pricing would have definitely gone significantly up if they stayed in China. I've heard that Samsung does some of their manufacturing there, so there is some electronics infrastructure there. Vietnam has good supply chain logistics with China, so availability of components is good. And Vietnam should be motivated to build out capacity for consumer electronics as an alternative to China.

I think at least the initial batch of 4's are either done or very close to done and in box. Shipping.. logistics to carriers/warehouse, etc. will need to be done by early October. 4 mos from now, tho... who knows?
