google nav turning on sounds?

OK so the click sounds on the captivate get on my nerves. So I turn them off. But anytime I use Google navigation it turns them back on almost full volume. Does anyone else have this happen? Its not that big of a deal, but I've noticed it each time. Does the navigation app need the sounds on in the system for something?

Yes... it turns the "System Volume" setting up to full every time. I guess that is what the Text-to-Speech uses, and cranks the volume up so you can hear it in the car. A minor gripe I have with it.

if you switch to the android keyboard u can turn off the keyboard clicks... and theres a setting to turn off other click sound in the settings menu
