There should be a button right on the bottom to close all recent apps instead of reaching for the clear all. Also if you have more then two apps open you have to scroll down to see the clear all bottom

Don't get it. I open the app and CLOSE ALL is at the bottom of my screen. Respectfully, 1st world problem.

I never even knew it had a clear all, I've just seen it. cheers guys, a little extra schooling never hurt.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I agree should be at the bottom to clear , but we can still swipe them away

I thinks it's there because people think they need the option but shouldn't be using it under normal use.

Yes it's very handy. I thought that's standard, and it appears to be Samsung only.

It's not a Samsung thing, my HTC had it at the bottom too. For whatever reason Google put it at the top. Agree with the OP though, not my preference.

I don't know....I don't have an issue. I guess I stopped worrying about certain things.

It's not really needed. Android handles RAM very well. If you keep clearing all apps, your just forcing them to be reloaded into RAM again, and making battery life worse.

What I usually do is, when I press 'recent apps', is swipe down really fast, the 'clear all' Immediately shows and I press it. I know it's still one extra step but you can still close all apps within a fraction of a second.

I clear once a day at the end of a day and that's it..
