Ok, so i upgraded to Froyo and i'm not sure if this is related but it affects the Google News & Weather App...
It's a small issue, but maybe there's a workaround.
First, i haven't been able to get my clear/transparent apk's of the app to work on Froyo, you try and add the widget and they FC.
Ok, so i am now sticking with the opaque stock widgets... the news widget seems to be stuck at the same story and doesn't move on to the next story for about 10 seconds. It also doesn't change on its own when the screen is off. This never happened before.
For me personally, this is highly annoying. I loved when i unlocked my phone to see new headlines.
So for instance, if i unlock my phone and the headline is "Xbox outsells Wii in November", and i do something really quick like check Facebook or send a text, then lock the phone... every time i unlock it, that headline remains plastered there.
For it to change, i have to keep the phone unlocked for like 10-15 seconds before it changes to the next headline.
Prior to Froyo, every single time i unlocked the phone this widget would have a new headline, presumably because i'm assuming it kept changing while the screen was off.
Not sure if i articulated what the problem is, i know it's convoluted and a minor issue, but it's something that really bothers me and i wanted to know if anyone has the same issue, a possible workaround, or a different version (maybe clear again) that works with Froyo.
