Google Nexus 4 - Exchange email issues

Seem to have recently picked up a fault with my work exchange settings on my Nexus 4 (running 4.3)

It has dragged in 2 weeks of emails up to the 16th October but brings in nothing newer. If i force a sync it says (Couldn't open connection to server).

I am able to send emails from this account and my calendar is syncing fine which is what's confusing me.

I have removed this account multiple times and re-added it but still getting the same symptoms.

The only thing to note which changed recently is our exchange certificate was updated but i know of no others having this issue im having (they are on HTC but running same version of andriod).

Any ideas?
 
Did you already checked all your options @ the exchange service configuration ?

Had the same problem last week and fixed it with an sync option in the exchange service configuration.
