Google Nexus 5 - Charter TV App not Compatible

I received an email from Charter to load their new TV App. I went to the Play Store on line and selected it. The Store said it was compatible with my Nexus 7 but not my Nexus 5. The app is not visible when I search the Play Store with my phone, confirming the on line statement. Has anyone gotten this to work on your Nexus 5? Can you side load the .apk like the T-Mobile Visual Voice Mail app?

Says it's not compatible with smart phones, only tablets. You most likely have to wait for charter to make a smartphone app.

And that makes perfect sense. Nonetheless, my ISP made their app available for my old Galaxy Nexus phone long before they finally made it available for my Nexus 10.
