Google nexus 5 factory reset.

Okay, so I bought my Nexus 5 shortly after it came out and it's been factory reset only once and that was about a year ago, but the phone runs great, no lag or malfunctions, my question is should i factory reset it at this point, what are the benefits to a factory reset even if the phone runs great, and if so should i factory reset it from the settings or hard reset from the power of screen. Please and thank you .

No benefit for a factory reset if it's running fine. I'd leave it alone. Enjoy!
