Google Nexus 6 on Sprint

SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release: November 14th!!!

For us Sprinters, a thread to keep all of the Nexus 6 info in one place.

Of course, the landing page: Nexus 6 from Sprint

My inside man says he has his N6 training on the 8th, so we have that going for us, which is nice.
Hoping then for some release info next week sometime.

Also looking for info on Sprint's "Nexus For Life" plan like they have for the iP6.

So if you see anything N6 Sprint related, post it here.

Personally, I will be getting the N6 on Easy Pay, then sell my G3 and pay the balance down as much as I can. :-$

Obviously take this for what it is, but it was posted in the AT&T N6 thread so might as well post it here. I could absolutely live with the 14th if this is actually on point:

I saw something last night and tried to get a screen grab and couldn't.... but it said on sale with T-Mobile on 11/12 in stores and online.... AT&T will start taking preorders on 11/12 and start shipping 11/21.... Sprint will start selling in stores and online on 11/14...... US Cellular on sale 11/21.

Verizon just said "Coming soon"

The only one I think is "Official" is the T-Mobile on 11/12.... Everything else take with a grain of salt

Worst case it turns out to be nothing, anyways, and we'll find out soon

Well I'm on a thin line with Sprint right now. I'm really thinking of going to T-Mobile next Wednesday and getting the 64 GB version. Sprint's speeds has been really agitating. I haven't really closed the door on Sprint yet....but its getting close. If there is any glimmer of light...a couple of factors have to play in.

1.) Are they going to carry the 64 GB option?
2.) Are they ever going to fix their network? Time is ticking Sprint.

I'm in the exact same situation that's why I bought my device outright. Not sure what I might do

I completely agree. After the whole MotoX14 debacle, I was extremely close to pulling the plug on Sprint until the N6 was announced. With my wife still on contract with Sprint, I have a hard time leaving, but I just might!

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

Pricing is more what I'm concerned about. I really want the Note 4 but it's $299 ....if the N6 comes in under that, I'm game. (Although it's one damn big phone...)

That is very cool info and it makes sense with the release info for the other carriers.
They usually try to get it within a day or so of the others.

So if true, it will be out one week from today. :)

I made the switch from Sprint to T-Mobile with the Nexus 5.... Best move I made.. Save almost $50 a month and I went from an average of 1 GB per month of data use to 5 - 6 GB of data use... (I'd probably be more around 7 - 8 but my plan caps my LTE at 5 GB per month and I usually breeze through that in 3 weeks or so)

Speed and overall saturation (at least in Dallas/Forth Worth Texas) crushes Sprint.... Even with a full LTE signal with Sprint (Again in Dallas) I'd get pretty crappy LTE speeds... T-Mobile is easily ten times better...... Only thing is at least with the Nexus 5 it was cheap enough to go grab a prepaid SIM card and test the network out (Which is what I did) for a month... After I did my 30 day trial I ported my number over from Sprint and went out of contract....

They are lacking in the in between areas.... Any large or mid sized city I've had pretty good coverage and LTE speeds are amazing.. but you get in between? We took a trip to San Antonio (Which is 5 hours from Dallas) and along the major Highway I was able to keep enough of a signal for phone calls but it was edge speed data connection at best... Any time we'd run up on a semi densely populated area you'd get a decent to very good LTE signal but once you passed any city or populated area by about a mile you'd drop back to that edge like speed....

I use to travel for a living and T-Mobile wouldn't have worked for that.. Now I work in an office and am stationary so T-Mobile works... I'd say if you have a Nexus 5 go get a T-Mobile prepaid card and just test it out in all the places you live, work and play.... to spend $700+ to test out T-Mobile and find out it's not good in your area would be a big gamble if you could stay with Sprint on contract for say $200 and keep paying what your paying....

This thread is going off the rails.
Keep the Sprint bashing to another forum.

Thanks.

Not bashing Sprint... My wife still uses Sprint and I'd switch back to them if their coverage was better in Texas...... I was a Sprint customer for 15+ years and I keep a close eye on what they are up to.. I've always felt they had all the potential in the world.... (or at least American Wireless) loved the Softbank deal.... Felt it would help them long term but the growing pains early could be tough.... T-Mobile's rise came from getting all that nice break up money from AT&T a few years back....

It was not you and "bashing" may have been too harsh a word.
More referencing the replies above you.
Thanks. :)

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

So I was able to snag a nexus 6 from moto's site yesterday. Hopefully Sprint won't have any issues activating it. Crossing fingers.

Very cool.
Let us know how it goes.

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

Its not Sprint bashing, just a legit gripe. I said what needed to be said. Anyway, on to the launch. I'm reading that Sprint will only carry the 32gb in stores and charge an extra $50 for it. Anyone know if that's true?

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

Ordered my 64 off of the play store, I'm sure it'll activate with no problems on sprint. Now I just need a nano Sim

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

Something I saw on Reddit:

Sales on 11/14, training on 11/12.
32GB only
$299.99 on contract, $699.99 full price ($50 more than retail)

How accurate this all is, I don't know. If it's true, I'm going to regret not trying harder to order one from Google Play/Motorola.
Any word on the Nexus 6 release date? : Sprint

Geting a nano sim from Sprint

So as we all know the Nexus 6 takes a nano sim. Most Sprint phones use micro sim with the exceptions of the M8 and the iPhone. Myself having an M7 currently I need a nano sim for my new nexus unless I want to cut my micro which I would rather not if I can just get one from Sprint.

So my journey begins...2 sprint stores didn't have any, 3rd Sprint store which was a repair center also had nano sims but didn't want to give me one due to "There are different models of nano sims depending on the phone you are using it in. Such as the nano for the HTC One M8 will not work in the iPhone 5 nano slot."

So at this point I drove a little further and went to the campus store inside the old Sprint/Nextel headquarters in Reston, VA. The still use these headquarters as a D.C. market Sprint Campus. I talked with a guy in the campus store and he said the same thing that the repair center did. However he had the repair guy go into the database to see if the Nexus 6 was listed with what model of nano sim it was comparable with so he could give me one. Alas the Nexus 6 is not in Sprints database yet so he stated that he didn't know which model nano sim would be compatible and if he just randomly gave me one it may not work. Then sent me away with the advice of come back after the phone is released and they will have had the system updated with the phone and he could see what nano model would work and get me one.

I'm not sure how accurate any of this if is but it forces me to wait until I get the phone and then go to the store to see if they have more info/the nano sim, hopefully I am not sitting with the phone for days waiting on Sprint.

Wow. Make since as they didn't carry the larger storage capacity before, but the price? If this is true & your going to charge $699 than you should carry the 64GB at the very least

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

I'm not going to bother trying to get one until after I get the phone. Just have to make sure it's a repair store. If it's a regular one they won't have a clue
