Google Nexus 6P Screen eating my battery with hardly any use?

I got this phone on Tuesday and have not modded it in anyway. Just installed my normal apps (I did the import feature with Android).

My battery life is just not what others are having. It does not seem to be apps doing it buy something else?

20 percent in about 3 hours with 24 minutes of on screen time of just texting and using Groupme...

this is a joke.

What's your cell signal like? If it's yellow or red in the graph, that's the cause. Even so for poor reception that's not bad.

I thought turning on adaptive brightness would take care of the screens brightness for me? No

That's just volume. Where do you keep the brightness slider set to? Low on the left or high on the right?

Hmm kind of high, but not really. Maybe try a restart? Or clear out the cache partition.

I found the issue.

It was this app called Light flowy or flowy light, can't remember. It kept waking up the screen.

Then it was also Relay for Reddit. If you get a notification and don't view it, it keeps reminding you. After handling both of those my battery life is ridiculous!

Sounds it improved and bit but still having idle issues.

Left my phone unplugged while I slept and I went from 70ish percent to 30. This was from 10 PM to 945am.
