Google Nexus 7 4.2.2 no MTP USB connection

After upgrading my Google Nexus 7's android to 4.2.2, the nexus cannot be recognized as media device in my computer anymore. My computer can still recognize the Nexus when I select PTP (camera) mode. This is my first posting and am hoping that someone can help this problem. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem for last two months and just found a solution.
1) Enable developer option by going to Settings and hitting "About tablet" 7 times
2) This will add "Developer Option" under System
3) Go into "Developer Option" and check "USB debugging"
4) Now I can see it under Computer as a MTP
