Google Night Sight mode is simply unbelievable (side by side comparison)

Before we start credit goes to XDA member cstark27 who was able to unlock this feature prior to Google releasing it to P3 devices. Eventually this mode will land on all pixel devices.

In this video I used this feature on Pixel 2 and it worked perfectly fine. The pictures it takes are amazing, all of this is some insane software magic and I don't think any competitor can come close to this (at the moment). Pics are bright, well balanced and very usable.

Honestly not the least bit impressed with this, with all the hype I expected something good. It looks like all the phone does is increase ISO and slow down the shutter.

Had honestly hoped for some actual software magic to get great low light shots from that tiny sensor, but clearly they didn't find a way around hardware limits.
