Google not working

Hello All, I have a Samsung S7 it's been fine but now it won't work with google. when I tap the icon it says "Google has stopped" I have tried everything I can find on the net clearing cache etc. On the point of doing a hard reset.

would hold off doing anything right now. google is still experiencing some issues

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you cleared the app cache AND app data for the Google app in Settings>Apps? And also made sure it's up to date in the Play Store?
