Lately I noticed a new Google Search page on my Google now launcher, how can I remove that ??

What's new about it? Are you talking about your Google feed, or the Google Assistant window?

When you swipe the screen to the right a Google page is there that says you have more Cards. So I guess you call that Google Feed, I've never had that before and only popped up a few weeks ago.

With the Google Now Launcher, swiping to the left of the primary homescreen has always brought up the Google Now page. Are you saying the Google Now page now looks different? Can you show us a screenshot of what you mean?

Here you go, well I've have never noticed this before. see pic

Also what is with the slow typing responding on this forum, when I type it takes like 60 seconds for my response to be typed in.

Hmm, I think I've seen it look like that from time to time, although I'm on the beta version of the Google app, so it can be hard to tell if subtle differences are due to that. You definitely can't swipe away cards any more, so if that's another change you noticed, then that would be consistent with the changeover to the newer format.

The forums have generally been acting up for quite some time now, in an intermittent fashion. When they glitch or are sluggish, sometimes it's due to something on the back end being updated.

No it's the page that I'm talking about. So you are saying that Google page has been there for a while and cannot be deleted ??

Yeah, it's always been part of the Google Now Launcher. Personally, I could do without it, which is why I use Nova Launcher. I set it so that a tap of the Home button (while on a homescreen) brings up the Google app (and not Assistant).

Yes, and the weather notifications on the status bar too, this was not there a month ago I'm sure if it.

Another vote for Nova.

Yes, I use to use Nova, but stopped as I found it using more resources, and the odd screen glitch caused by wallpapers. Have not had this issue with Google Now, I may switch back though, as I can do without this page, and really don't think Google should force us to have something we don't want, greed gets the best of them.

I don't see it as greed -- it's not like they're pushing ads in the Google Now page. The intent was to make Google Now more readily accessible. But I agree, it would've been nice to make it an option that the user could turn off.

In my experience, Nova has never caused any significant hit to performance, battery use, or memory. Perhaps it might cause issues on an older phone with minimal specs, but the X Pure should be able to handle it without problems.

Agreed about Nova. I've never had any issues with it on my X Pure.

I remember people referring to it as "Launcher 3”. ..maybe version 3 of the Google Launcher?

I believe Launcher3 is the "stock" AOSP launcher -- so maybe it's the 3rd version of that.

all i see is google now launcher. i do not see launcher3. i dont remember if i erased it :(
I don't know... Launcher3 may be what the Pure started with at release, or maybe what my OG Moto X had.

I am thinking the Launcher was changed/ upgraded when the device was upgraded to Marshmallow.
