Google Now Location Based Reminders - Not working well

Hey All,

Here is the story I need help with.

Nexus 6p, up to date...

When I set a reminder 'Remind me at X:XXam to do laundry' it works fine, however, if I say "Remind me when I get to "Home/Work" to do fun stuff n' things." The reminder almost never triggers.

I have done a myriad of things such as;

- Reset locations in maps
- Reset location settings
- Removed other devices from my google account (old phones mostly)
- Tried other devices (moto x 14) and they work
- Factory rest of phone.

Likely more that I can't recall.

This all started when my Nexus 6p was swapped under warranty for battery issues. The new phone arrived, and i imported the other 6ps saved backup. That's when things seemed to stop working.

So after toying with many things I just wiped it and started with no backup. I had also turned on my aforementioned Moto x 2014 while the restore was being done on the 6p. While updates were running on my 6p I noticed some previously unfired "home" reminders went off on both. So I shut of the Moto x and set a few home reminders. The next time google checked my location the reminders fired on the 6P. Problem solved! NOPE.

I get to work, knowing I had a work reminder set, nothing happened. I turned on my Moto X which was along for the ride, the reminder fired on the x, not the 6p.

I'm at a loss. Anyone have any idea how to get this working reliably?

EDIT - New Development - Now when I type anything with remind me when I get to work/home, it just does a google search.

I haven't gone through all the crap you did but I'm experiencing the same result. Set reminder for home got home waiting for a half hour for the reminder to pop up never happened. I'm new to the 6p and my phone is up to date, this is the first time I tried this.

Exactly the same problem here on Oreo. You guys ever get it working?
