I am having a serious problem since updating Google Now. It won't recognize when I say Google. I have tried un-installing updates to no avail.

I am at my wits end! Does anyone know what to do?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Go into the settings and make sure hot-word detection is enabled.

Thanks for the reply!

I have tried this to no avail. It's not worth a factory reset to me, but I feel like that will be my only option.

So if I set hot word detection, can I just say Google and Google Now will open? Or will I have to open Now in order for hot word to work?

You will have to open it first. And you can't say Google when you are on a search results page, you have to go back to the first page of Google Now to say Google to activate it again.
