On my Nokia 7 Plus I was happily using Google Pay. Yesterday I upgraded to Android 9 Pie and when adding my payment card to Google Pay again, I am getting "Couldn't finish setup to pay in stores. ... This may be because it is rooted or altered in some other way".
Before I was able to upgrade the phone to Pie, I had to subscribe it to a Nokia dev program.
Is it the case that it is still not a production version of OS and this is causing the issue, meaning that I need to go down to Android 8 in order to use Google Pay and wait for an official Nokia roll out of Pie?
