Google Photos Note8 downloading problems

I have downloaded my google photos from my note 8 to my Surface Pro computer under Google Drive and Dropbox without any problems since I bought the phone when it first came out. Usually I then send the photos to FB groups. Now no matter what I try I cannot download any photos. I have deleted Dropbox and reinstalled and deleted Google Drive and reinstalled. I loved being able to snap photos and send them to friends on my computer mostly to FB groups. Not sure what I am doing wrong to have this happen. I welcome any help.

Try going in sequence.

You take a picture. Then? You can't download it? You can't upload it? You can't send it? What sequence are you following to do whatever it is you're trying to do? And what has happened between the time it worked and the time it didn't?

Rukbat I take the picture. I open the picture on google photos, click on share, then click save to drive or to Dropbox. It used to immediately go to my computer under Google Drive or Dropbox. Then if I was on a FB group I could click on the icon for downloading and sharing it to the group. I can't do this now. It is about 2 weeks since this has happened.
