Google Photos or Verizon Cloud??

Hi...I have approx 6,500 photos on my phone that I want to back up...would you recommend Google Photos or Verizon cloud? And why?

Google Photos. That way, you're not locked in to any particular service provider. Maybe you like Verizon now, but things change.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

Anything Verizon is awful. Also doubtful they offer Free unlimited storage, since they still charge for their other inferior services. Who still pays for vz navigator???

I'm on Verizon but use Google Photos. I uploaded all of my pictures and they are now available on every tablet or phone with the app and on every computer. Unlimited storage for pics up to 16MP and 1080p video. The assistant feature is just awesome. I won't tell you what it does but you will love it.
